With Love

Cass_love8, originally uploaded by Cervantes Photography.

Being a Photographer has its ups and downs, but regardless you get to meet some pretty amazing people. Model Cassandra Love, was a pleasure to photograph. Her timidness at the beginning of the shoot was a worry at first, but as the day progressed she opened up more and more little by little. One of the things I always live by, to set a good name for myself, is i told myself i would never do any super risque photos. Fortunately, all the models I have worked with have been super understanding and respect me for that. Cassandra came in with her standards of what she was expecting of me as a photographer. Lucky for me, they were standards i already worked by.

This particular shot was done on an white Muslin, with two strobes with soft boxes on both, which were placed on either side of the model at a 45 degree angle. After getting Cassandra to get out of her shell, we focused on doing some "playful" classic pinup. Which worked wonderfully in this shot.

Hillcrest

Juanita4, originally uploaded by G1GANT3.

Shooting at Fullertons' Hillcrest Park I was fighting with the natural light, there wasnt much left. i decided to play with the apeture a bit and close it up a bit and go with a F16, which darkened up the background in this case the Palm trees. I didn't mind to much because i wanted more of the colors in the sky rather than the palm trees, but i do enjoy the silhouette of the trees. i would definitely try a bigger "F" stop to get more of the detail in the trees in the background.

Tarascas

Tarascas 2, originally uploaded by ThinkGigante.com.

When thinking of Michoacan, many think Morelia, which then The Aqueduct comes to mind! But many seem to forget the the Beautiful Fountain of the "Tarascas" (Tah-Ross-Kahs) whichhas been a big part of tourism in the city. Take a moment and absorb the beauty of these three beautiful Women, and of course the Fountain too!

What is todays date?

What is todays date?, originally uploaded by G1G4NT3.

I hate to admit that while I was taking this picture i was actually a little buzzed! This was taken at a shopping center, Plaza Mexico, in Lynwood, CA, I believe. I am not too familiar with the LA region, anything south of OC is ok but North of OC, im completely lost!

Directly behind me was a Merry-Go-Round. It was really spectacular. It had two floors, so you had the option of either on the bottom floor which had the stationary horses. The top floor had the "moving" horses, which was the one my nephew decided on!

If you just happen to be in the Lynwood area, and want a little taste of the Latin culture, I recommend Plaza Mexico! http://www.plazamexico.com/
